چکیده
Abstract The development of a robust understanding the response Antarctic Ice Sheet to present and projected future climatic change is matter key global societal importance. Numerical ice sheet models that simulate behaviour are typically evaluated with recourse how well they reproduce past behaviour, which constrained by geological record. However, subglacial topography, boundary condition in models, has evolved significantly throughout Antarctica's glacial history. Since mantle processes play fundamental role generation modification topography over timescales, an interactions between palaeotopography crucial for developing more accurate simulations dynamics. This chapter provides review influence on long-term evolution landscape, through including structural inheritance, flexural isostatic adjustment, lithospheric cooling thermal subsidence, volcanism dynamic topography. uncertainties associated reconstructing these time discussed, as important directions research implications evolving oceanographic change.

Understanding underwater optics in natural waters is essential in evaluating aquatic primary production and risk of UV exposure in aquatic habitats. Changing environmental conditions related with global climate change, which imply potential contrasting changes in underwater light climate further emphasize the need to gain insights into patterns related with underwater optics for more accurate f...
متن کاملDifferences between Antarctic and non-Antarctic meteorites: An assessment
The discovery of a statistically significant number of meteorites in Antarctica over the past 20 years has posed many questions. One of the most intriguing suggestions that came up during the study of the Antarctic samples was that there might be a difference between the parent populations of Antarctic and non-Antarctic meteorites. This interpretation was put forward after the detection of a si...

countries for 2020. Ministers have listened to the science and made a leap forward in addressing the climate crisis. But to then suggest a meagre 20 per cent unilateral EU emissions cut, while admitting this is inadequate and that a 30 per cent cut will be necessary, is a bizarre discrepancy. " David Milliband, the UK's environment minister, said: " The unilateral commitment to cut EU greenhous...
